Bar Orchard Ginza

Really good cocktail bar in Ginza. I liked it because they serve high quality drinks but the experience is different than other bars. They let you choose a fruit and make your drink based on it. The drinking glasses are unusual and add some fun to the experience. One reproach is that the pricing is not clear. Expect to spend some money if you enter...

No menu, just an assortment of fresh fruits and vegetables. You pick something you like (such as blood orange) and tell them what you like (tequila, sour or sweet, strong or weak) and they make you a piece of art. Truly an amazing experience that really made bar tending more of a mixology experience.

Couldn't recommend this place highly enough! Great idea with the selection of fruit as the deciding factor of drink. This takes away the normal distraction of diving through ingrediants. The hospitality of this bar is to perfection with great character and conversation. Lastly the presentation of beverage and selection of spirits is extremely impressive!!!

The bar was a pleasant surprise during my trip! It was a hidden gem in Ginza. Hidden on the 8th floor of a nondescript building. There’s no menu and all you have to do is to pick a fruit from the fruit tower, elaborately built by its owner each morning, and the owner will make a cocktail from that fruit. The cocktails were both superb in taste and presentation. The atmosphere was calm and quiet, perfectly suited for people want to have private conversation. Some small things I would actually want to take 0.5 star away from them are the price(higher than most of the bars in Tokyo, 2600yen per cocktail) and the sometimes stern protocols, which could be a mood killer for foreign visitors unfamiliar to the rule(Though it’s pretty common in most highend Japanese restaurants/bars). The hostess is a great person to have conversation with and the host also possesses deep knowledge in making cocktails.

Very strange place. They don't have menu so you never know the price of your drink. And yes, prices are high (one drink ~3000 yen). Cocktails are based on seasonal fruits and arr not bad. The interior is not cozy at all... If you're looking for really good bar in Ginza, sorry, that is not Orchard.

By far our favorite experience out of our whole trip to Tokyo. Each and every drink was absolutely amazing. The bartenders/owners were incredible, personal, and enthusiastic about their creations. They both spoke great English and explained every cocktail to us. Prices are comparable to US craft cocktails, but these surpassed all the cocktails I’ve had in US. We will be dreaming of returning to this bar one day.

You choose a fruit from the basket (thats the menu) and a cocktail is personally prepared for you. Your server will check for preferences, allergies etc. Very intimate and great servixe with relaxing music.

This is a famous cocktail bar which has inspired many bartenders across Asia. No matter which country I go to in Asia, 3/5 bartenders I've spoken to at top-rate cocktail bars know of Orchard Ginza. The space has a friendly and intimate atmosphere and the drinks will amaze you with their flavors and creativity. I would not recommend this place for groups of >4. There are only 2 people behind the bar (when we were there) and the interior is a bit tiny.

Amazing drinks, amazing bartenders that ask the right questions to craft the perfect drinks. Presentation was one of the best we have experienced. Reminded to us “night jar” or “Gibson” in London in terms of unique drink designs

Such a fun bar to enjoy your drinks. Cocktails are really tasty and the service is very personable. Mostly foreigners here but the drinks are really good. There’s a sitting charge(1000yen I think), so be sure to factor that cost in. Prices here are on the higher side but the drinks are top quality.

Whoa what a great concept and bar. No written menu, just fresh fruit and creativity. If you're after creative Instagram ready cocktails, this place has those in spades. If you're like me and just want simple booze heavy cocktails with small creative twists..they do a great job. English speaking staff . Not the cheapest place, but didn't feel the prices were steep and we left happy and buzzed.

A very fun bar with playful drinks presentation. This husband and wife team build their drinks around seasonal fruits. Their menu is the fruit basket they have on display. Pick a fruit and they will ask whether you like the drink light, medium or boozy.Pick your poison and enjoy the experience!

Amazing fruit cocktails! Super unique uses of fruit AND vegetables to create custom cocktails for your taste. Happy to interact with foreigners and offers recommendations. A bit expensive, but on par or cheaper to other cocktail bars in Ginza.

The most original bartending I've ever seen

I was asked to pick a seasonal fruit to be my cocktail but nobody told me what other ingredients will be added. It ended up that I received a freezing cold cocktail, which I don’t really like. (I’ve got ice allergy)... The bar is tiny but the atmosphere is nice.

There is a cover charge for each person and limited seating here (max maybe 12 seats) and they will not accept a party larger than 4. There is no drink menu, you order by selecting a piece of fruit from their display and then select the alcohol level (high, medium, low). I selected apple and medium alcohol and got a delicious apple pie inspired cocktail.

Great atmosphere. Takuo-san and Sumire-san were excellent host as well. Cocktails were impressive. Note that they are located on the 7th floor.

Quite inventive when it comes to presentation. Had 4 cocktails, 3 of them I'd say were good. Their complimentary bar chow was quite tasty as well. Service was very friendly. There is no menu, they ask if you prefer sweet or sour, and your preference of fruit. Then they ask if you prefer light, medium or hard on the alcohol. Usual JPY1000 service charge. Will definitely come back.

The most interesting experience in a bar you can find anywhere! If you have one night in Tokyo, you must visit here. Choose a fruit and you get a cocktail. The owners are lovely and endeavour to make your experience enjoyable. It’s a small bar though so not much room for groups of 3 or more. Great experience for a couple though. Give this place a try and you will definitely not regret it. I’m almost thinking of planning a holiday back to Japan just to visit Orchard again

No menu, just pick from the cornucopia of fruits in front of you and they'll make a drink based on your selection, as well put it in interesting containers! The bartender speaks fair English and his wife speaks pretty good English!

I have had a great time trying truly unique cocktail in bar Orchard Ginza and the owners are a fab couple with a quirky sense of humour..... Overall a perfect way to have a great evening!

Creative, high-quality cocktails crafted with your choice of seasonal fruit. Bartenders give you an option between weak, medium, and strong for alcohol content. I wouldn’t give 5/5 stars because prices are not exactly reasonable (~20USD per drink if I remember correctly) but I would definitely go again for the experience. Sit at the bar!The bartenders are a lovely couple and pleasant to chat with. And yes, even the bar snacks are good.

[ a worth going Japanese bar in Ginza ]You can absolutely get decent cocktails and warm service here. It’s truely worth the title being an award winning bar. I love their creativity for combining different elements into one drink and putting them in interesting utensils. I loved one with apple and cinnamon.

Orchard is up a few stories from street level, you hop in an elevator right off the sidewalk to access the bar. The place is super special thanks to its lovely owners who are also your bartenders. They’ll mix you a magical cocktail complete with creative presentation. Great cocktails, great fun. We’ll be back!

To me, this is the best bar in Tokyo, possibly the world. It's a small intimate bar run by a husband and wife and you can tell they really are passionate about what they do. They speak English very well, and their creativity has no bounds. Each drink you order is constructed very artistically and uniquely. You start your order by picking a local seasonal fruit and telling them about any allergies or alcohols you do not like. After that, you tell them how strong of a drink you like and the rest is history. If you're in this area, definitely visit this bar.If I had to note two things that were not my favorite, the first would be the 1000Â¥ cover charge (well worth it though) and the second would be they sometimes use really cheap liquor, especially Tequila. I still stand by that this is a must for all visitors in the area, and without a doubt, I would come here again!The two drinks in the pictures are Mango Tequila (ducky drink) and Passion Fruit Cocktail.
